Abstract Objective: To examine the expressions of ET-1,MMP-2 and CD31 in liver cancers, and discuss the significance of their expressions. Methods： SP immunohistochemical staining was used to examine the expressions of ET-1, MMP2 and CD31 in 30 normal liver tissues and 30 liver cancers. Results： The different expressions of ET-1, MMP-2 and MVD in normal liver tissues and liver cancers had a statistically significant difference(P<0.01). The expressions of ET-1, MMP-2 and MVD in liver cancers were positively related to clinical stage and differential(P<0.05).But no statistical differences were found between them with age and sex(P＞0.05). MVD in negative expressions of ET-1, MMP-2 were more lower than in positive groups(P<0.05). Conclusions： The expressions of ET-1, MMP-2, MVD were associated with the degree of liver cancer malignancy.The high expressions of ET-1, MMP-2, MVD were correlated with clinical stages and differential degrees in liver cancers.
