Upregulation of miR-26a-5p inhibits the fibrosis formation in the LX-2 cells

Abstract:Objective: To observe the effects of miR26a5p on fibrosis in human hepatic stellate cell LX2. Methods: The miR26a5p mimics were transfected into LX2 cells.Then the transfected cells were induced by TGFβ1 for 24 hours.The expressions of miR26a5p,αSMA mRNA and CollagenⅠmRNA were detected with realtime PCR.And the expressions of fibrosis related protein pP38MAPK,αSMA and CollagenⅠwere detected with the Western blotting. Results: By upregulating the expression of miR26a5p, the expressions of αSMA mRNA,CollagenⅠmRNA and the expressions of fibrosis related protein(pP38MAPK,αSMA and CollagenⅠ) decreased compared to the control group. Conclusion: Upregulation of miR26a5p may inhibit the TGFβ/P38MAPK signaling pathway in the LX2 cells. And miR26a5p may play a role in antifibrosis.
