Abstract:[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the changes of nasal secretion levels of IL-17A after nasal provocation in allergic rhinitis patients. Methods: The nasal secretion levels of IL-17A was measured by using BDTM Cytometric Bead Array in patients with allergic rhinitis (n=20) compared with those of healthy control subjects (n=20) after using mite nasal provocation. Result: There were significant differences in nasal secretion level of IL-17A between control group and allergic rhinitis patients′ group after nasal provocation 15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours (P<0.05, respectively), however before nasal provocation there were no differences. However there were no differences between patients with allergic rhinitis and control group after nasal provocation 24 hours(P>0.05). Conclusion: The high expression of nasal secretion levels of IL-17A in the allergic rhinitis patients indicated that IL-17A may be an etiology of allergic rhinitis.
