The Cultural Soft Power of Chinese Publishers from the Perspective of the Global Publishing Structure |

Abstract The competitiveness of Chinese publishing industry in the world market exercises important influence China's cultural soft power.The landscape of the top 50 sellers among the global publishers between 2006 and 2008 tells us that Chinese publishing industry still has a far way to go before it can become important part of that landscape.Chinese publishers must learn from the publishing giants'development route and trend,remodel the industrial structure,increase industrial concentration and expand to the international market in order to increase sales revenue,improve core competitive edge and strengthen China's cultural soft power.
