On the Inputoccupancyoutput Model and its Application in Vocational Education —A Study of the Evaluation Model of Vocation Education Policies |

Abstract The most popular mode in China's vocational education is the cooperation between schools and enterprises so that teaching can be adjusted to production. In this paper, a quantitative study is conducted to evaluate this popular mode by building an Input-Occupancy-output (IOO) model in the cooperative vocational education. In the IOO model, the indicator of “Non-School education sectors” is advanced for the first time, and the IOO tables of the educational sector and 42 economic sectors are made to measure, compare and analyze the individual influences of cooperative and non-cooperative vocational education on economy and employment. It is found that cooperative vocational education contributes more to the overall economy than noncooperative one, and higher vocational education contributes more than middle vocational education. So the promotion of cooperative vocational education can facilitate the coordinated development of vocational education and society.
