Abstract:Like philosophy, religion, morality, and art, science is also a cultural process, and has well-defined cultural characteristics. Due to differences in ways of thinking, ideas of philosophy, and beliefs, the Western science and the Chinese traditional science (like traditional Chinese medicine) had developed into two different forms and were quite different in cultural features. The differences show that we should firstly cultivate the relevant cultural gene if we want to make important innovation on (western) science.
