Abstract More and more studies have shown that the risk of arrhythmias in diabetes patients is significantly increased, but their mechanisms are complex and have not been fully clarified at present. Based on explaining the relationship between diabetes and arrhythmias, this article reviews the mechanisms of diabetes related arrhythmias from aspects of inflammation, oxidative stress, autonomic nervous dysfunction, mitochondrial dysfunction, electrical remodeling, blood glucose levels, glucose fluctuations, etc. It is aimed at providing a novel strategy for the prevention and treatment of this disease.
