    The Journal of Practical Electrocardiology, started in 1993, formerly named by the Journal of Jiangsu Practical Electrocardiology, is among the few domestic authoritative journals on Electrocardiology. The journal is authorized by the State Press and Publication Administration of Radio Film and Television, adminstrated by Education Deparment of Jiangsu Province, sponsored by Jiangsu University, and co-sponsored by Chineses Medical Doctor Association, China Society of Electrocardiology, China ECG Consultation Center, and China Electrocardiology Base. The Editor-in-chief is Prof. Lu Xi-lie from China PLA General Hospital, and the Director of Academic Committee is Prof. Guo Ji-hong from Peking University People’s Hospital.
    The journal is included in China core journals database (selection), Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database(CAJCED)，and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database （CBM）. It is also the only professional journal on Electrocardiology which is included by Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory(Ulrichsweb) and EBSCOhost. In 2014, the journal took the first prize in “excellent journals of Sciencepaper Online in 2013” by the Ministry of Science and Technology Development Center. In the same year, it was awarded “the sixth Jiangsu golden horse award of science and technology journals” by Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Journals Association.
    The journal is publicly issued at home and abroad, ISSN 2095–9354, CN 32–1857/R. It’s published on the 28th bimonthly, with the size of A4 paper. The domestic postal distributing code is 28–438, the price is 15 yuan per issue, and 90 yuan for the whole year.
    Our Aim: To make a combination of popularity and improvement, experimental and clinical study, theory and practice, exploration and application.
    Our Readers: Domestic ECG workers, and physicians in the cardiovascular department of internal medicine who are devoted to basic research on ECG, and clinical diagnosis and treatment.
    Main Features: 1. Focus on practicality, emphasize on building a close association between fundamental theories of Electrocardiology with clinical practice, and integrate ECG reading with disease diagnosis. 2. Trace hot spots and difficulties, promote series of lectures specially on pacemaker & pacing ECG, vectorcardiogram, etc., and invite well-known experts to hold columns such like modern ECG telemonitoring, ECG scatter diagram, etc. 3. Serve 300,000 domestic ECG workers sincerely, give a timely release of the dynamics of continuing education, and contribute to pushing forward the standardization process of diagnosis and treatment in ECG industry.
