Abstract As an independent risk factor for a variety of cardiovascular diseases, obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) can increase the prevalence and mortality of various cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease and arrhythmia. Intermittent hypoxia and hypercapnia, oxidative stress and chronic inflammatory response, sympathetic vagal imbalance, intrathoracic pressure changes, activation of neurohumoral factors, etc. are potential pathophysiological mechanisms of OSAHSinduced cardiovascular diseases. Early detection of OSAHS and its related cardiovascular diseases is helpful for early diagnosis and effective intervention. This article mainly describes the relationship among OSAHS and arrhythmia, hypertension, coronary heart disease and heart failure.
