Abstract Objective To study the T-wave morphologic parameters in the patients with vasovagal syncope(VVS). Methods A total of 208 patients suspected with VVS were included in the study. All the cases underwent head-up tilt test(HUTT), and divided into HUTT positive group and HUTT negative group according to testing results. In the absence of any symptom, ECG examination was performed on both of the groups, and T-wave morphologic parameters were analyzed between the two groups. ResultsBetween HUTT positive and negative groups,T-wave morphologic parameters of MCS[(90.47±40.57) vs.(79.81±33.08)], Flat-score[(45.73±9.19) vs.(40.40±8.73)] and Tp-Te[(117.83±19.13) ms vs. (111.36±15.86) ms] were all significantly different(P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that Flat-score was an independent risk factor for positive HUTT(OR=1.068, P<0.01). Area under the curve(AUC) analysis found that AUC of MCS and Flat-score equalled to 0.622 and 0.662(P<0.01), respectively. Conclusion MCS, Flatscore and Tp-Te were related factors for positive HUTT. Ventricular repolarization abnormality is found in VVS patients during asymptomatic period.
