Abstract Ventricular arrhythmias (VAs) which are originated from the pulmonary artery are known as PA-VAs.PA-VAs account for 4%-16.2% in the patients with idiopathic VAs who underwent radiofrequency catheter ablation. The surface ECG characteristics of PA-VAs and VAs originating from the right ventricular outflow tract are very similar, but the specific ECG characteristics of PA-VAs may contribute to differentiation from VAs which arise from coronary sinus and His bundle. The precise positioning and diagnosis of PA-VAs require the detailed mapping of cardiac electrophysiology. If VAs are similar to RVOT-VAs in the ECG shape but need to be ablated repeatedly below pulmonary valve or need high energy, it suggests the possibility of PA-VAs which require PA mapping and ablation.
