Abstract:Objective To discuss the occurrence rate and mechanism of abnormal changes of electrocardiogram (ECG) in peri-menopausal women. Methods Select 300 copies of ECGs from clinic examination of peri-menopausal women aged from 45 to 55 and carry out 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram or take previous data as references if necessary. Divide these women into groups according to menopause, non-menopause and ECG changes, and then make analysis of the formation mechanism and clinical significance of ECG changes. Results Among 300 cases, the patients with abnormal ECGs accounted for 67.67%, mainly with premature beat, tachycardia and ST-T changes. Higher incidence of heart disease was also found in patients clinically prone to coronary heart disease. Conclusion Peri-menopausal women had high incidence of ECG abnormality, mainly arrhythmia and ST-T changes.
