Abstract:Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is one of common diseases in the department of cardiovascular medicine. Evidences of evidencebased medicine indicate that HCM also contributes to sudden cardiac death. Therefore, it is especially vital to evaluate the risk of malignant cardiovascular events among HCM patients. As one of noninvasive ECG indicators, fragmented QRS complex (fQRS) is strongly suggestive of conduction delay resulted from myocardial scars. It attracts attention of clinicians for its advantages of being convenient and rapid to measure. This paper sorts and analyzes references of clinical studies and metaanalysis at home and abroad related to HCM patients complicated by fQRS published from 2013 to 2020. The results suggest that fQRS could serve as an earlywarning indicator of highrisky cardiovascular events including ventricular arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in HCM patients, and it proves to be clinically significant for evaluating the longterm prognosis of followed up patients.
