Application of ECG scatter plot in rapid differential diagnosis between ventricular reciprocal beats and interpolated ventricular premature beats

Abstract:Ventricular reciprocal beats and interpolated ventricular premature beats (PVB) are two types of arrhythmias commonly seen in clinical practice. With different formation mechanisms and similar ECG manifestations, they are both often easy to be misdiagnosed or misssed diagnosed. Whereas Lorenz scatter plots have unique advantage in the differential diagnosis between the two types of arrhythmias. According to the distribution characte-ristics of featured attractors in the ECG scatter plots of ventricular reciprocal beats and interpolated PVB, clinicians could make diagnosis conveniently and rapidly; using the technique of ECG scatter plot retrograde playback and attractor beat quantification tool, we can further make quantitative statistics for the diagnosis of these two types of arrhythmias, so as to avoid making misdiagnosis or misssed diagnosis of ventricular reciprocal beats.
