ECG manifestations of false high or third degree atrioventricular block formed by second degree atrioventricular block complicating atrioventricular interference
Abstract:ajority of manifestations of P wave unrelated to QRS complex between true high or third degree AVB and the false one formed by atrioventricular interference dissociation based on second degree AVB, we could observe RR interval of escape beat, twice of PP interval and PR interval of downconducting P wave, and find the longest RP interval of blocked P wave and the shortest RP interval of downconducting P wave, taking into consideration the circumstances of atrioventricular conduction as atrial rate changes. When “high or third degree AVB” complicated by escaped rhythm appear on ECG, if there are two P waves during RR interval of escape beat with the second P wave always surrounding before, during or after QRS complex, RR interval of escape beat<twice of PP interval, and typical ventricular capture in advance is observed, then it can be diagnosed as false high or third degree AVB formed by second degree AVB complicating atrioventricular interference. It is necessary to make careful differential diagnosis.
