Abstract:In the electrocardiogram of normal adults, lead V1 has type rS morphology. Predominant R wave or R/S>1 in lead V1 is clinically observed in various circumstances such as complete right bundle branch block, posterior wall myocardial infarction, right ventricular hypertrophy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dextrocardia, type A ventricular preexcitation and normal variant. This paper analyzes and summarizes several electrocardiographic and vectorcardiographic manifestations when R/S>1 in lead V1.
