Abstract:The computer aided design software of hydraulic components of slurry pumps was developed based on Pro/E. Firstly, the theory of solid liquid two phase flows was applied to design hydraulic components of slurry pumps and improve the particle motion inside hydraulic parts, and all the geometric parameters were obtained considering the particle influence on hydraulic parts. Then based on VC++ 6.0 platform and Windows XP operating system, MFC framework was used to develop user interface, and geometric parameters of hydraulic parts were calculated. Finally, based on Pro/TOOLKIT of the Pro/E Wildfire’s version 2.0 which encapsulated a lot of API function interfaces, the computer aided design of slurry pumps was built into Pro/E main menu as slurry pump submenu item. The relevant submenus are developed to automatically model three dimensional hydraulic components, such as impeller, half blades attached to the impeller, casing, front and back shroulds.
