Abstract:Aimed at the problem of silt separation of Yellow River’s water for agricultural drop irrigation. The major characteristics of silt in Yellow River and the applying of Hydrocyclone separation technique for silt separation are introduced. The key constructional parameters of Hydrocyclone are calculated by Rietema formula. And critical separation size d ep is checked based on the theory of Bredley equilibrium orbit. A series of experiments are carried out as to how the centrifugal separation is effected by key factors such as sediment concentration,i nlet pressurea nd undersetg ate diametere tc.
