Abstract In weak area, autonomous enrollment may face three educational equity hypotheses which are GDP determinism, administrative hierarchy determinism and educational resources centralized determinism. This paper makes the application of the national autonomous enrollment data in 2014 for the first time to develop the system analysis, and introduce geographic information system (GIS) to visualized the related research conclusion. The research shows that the autonomous enrollment opportunities are influenced by the indicators of economic development level, administrative level, higher education resources distribution. Some indicators of the differences have reached ten times as much as others. The results indicate that the fair concerns of the public and academia for autonomous enrollment recruitment have conclusive evidence, and the unfair and imbalance phenomena is very severe which should be laid great emphasis by scholars and decision makers. Finally, study shows that effective measures should be taken from three aspects to improve the unfavorable position of weak areas in the autonomous enrollment.
