Abstract The International Higher Education Demonstration Zone in GuangdongHong KongMacao Greater Bay Area is a new vision put forward by the central government for the development of higher education clusters in Greater Bay Area in the new era, and also a new way for the development of higher education in Greater Bay Area. Analyzing the connotation and status of the International Higher Education Demonstration Zone in GuangdongHong KongMacao Greater Bay Area is the key basis for formulating the development strategy of the International Higher Education Demonstration Zone. The development of the International Higher Education Demonstration Zone in GuangdongHong KongMacao Greater Bay Area should give priority to the integration of international higher education resources in Greater Bay Area and form a strategic alliance; strengthen the introduction of the highquality higher education resources all over the world, and build a diversified system of Sinoforeign cooperative education; establish the international campus park, gather international educational resources and expand its influence; build a worldclass regional higher education center, and export highquality higher education resources to countries and regions along the "Belt and Road".
