Abstract:Tu Youyou′s Nobel prize winning is a great event to boost national confidence and spirit undoubtedly, but at the same time, it reveals some worrying problems in China′s scientific research, such as the utilitarian and improvident goal, difficultyevasive conduct, quantityoriented achievements and foreign index adoration. Moreover, it reflects the antinomy of China′s scientific research evaluation system: the value orientation of science awards is collective scientists or the individual scientist, the evaluation standard is external index or intrinsic value, the qualification of academic titles is social intercourse or academic contribution, the ultimate goal of evaluation is to expedite management or encourage creativity, the evaluation subject is administrative forces or peer reviewers.
