On the mode of the fusion of teaching and learning development of faculty′s teaching capability: based on the research of Yale Center for Teaching and Learning

Abstract:Faculty′s teaching capability is supposed to be enhanced by integrating teaching and learning, which is illustrated by the practice of Yale Center for Teaching and Learning. The successful practice of Yale Center for Teaching and Learning may be summed into following aspects: formulating the guide of faculty′s teaching which embodies the concept of studentcentered to promote the standardized development of faculty′s teaching capability; promoting faculty′s teaching capability development by the mode of teaching according to learning which is based on teacherstudent dialogue by the common community of teaching and learning; arousing faculty′s initiative and enthusiasm to promote teaching capability development by teaching activities in Faculty Bulldog Days. It is necessary to gain successful experience of Yale University to promote faculty′s teaching capability development under the background of the construction of "Double Worldclass".
