Abstract:The main cultural obstacles affecting and restricting the social service behavior of teachers of local universities are the spiritual culture restricted by Chinese traditional culture, the behavior culture influenced by interest opportunism, and the discipline culture influenced by focusing on the academic. To promote the social service work of teachers of local universities in an allaround way, the university administrators should take the institutional change as an important point of leading cultural changes of teachers′ social service, create spiritual culture of active service to the community by cultural spread, shape behavior culture and profoundly reform academic culture by cultural contacts.
