Abstract:By introducing the concept of the even-odd Markov chains on a tree and the likelihood ratio, a nonnegative martingale is constructed to study the strong deviation theorems for even-odd Markov chains on a Cayley tree. By use of the martingale method, Doob martingale convergence theorem and a series of important inequalities, some strong deviation theorems for the frequencies occurrence of states and ordered couples of states for even-odd Markov chains on a Cayley tree are obtained as well.
