Abstract:Based on the velocity ratio and trace of single work group of oscillatory tillage, frequency, amplitude, oscillation angle and forward speed of tractor are the main effect factors on the performance of oscillatory tillage. The above four factors are usually combined into velocity ratio which is the ratio of maximum tine tip velocity to carrier ground velocity. When the velocity ratio is less than 1.00, the cutting blade always moves forward relative to soil. Increasing the velocity ratio to 1.00 means the cutting blade tip velocity falling to zero once per cycle, and then still moving forward into uncut soil. When the velocity ratio is greater than 1.00, the cutting blade moves backward relative to soil during each part of cycle. The cutting blade can be divided into three stages of soil cutting, backing off and catching up. As velocity ratio increases, the time consumption of different stages changes steadily with optimum velocity ratio range from 1.00 to 1.50.
