Abstract:A uniaxial parallel hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) with floating integrated starter/generator (ISG) was developed. Meanwhile, its system structure and engine starting control strategy were analyzed. In order to verify the advantages of HEV contrasted to the traditional vehicle, the speed and efficiency characteristics of ISG motor were tested on the motor test bench. Meanwhile, the injection pulse width and HC emission contrast tests between HEV and traditional vehicle in start operation were also performed on the hybrid power test bench. The results show that the performances of the output torque and efficiency of ISG motor are all excellent at the generating or electric modes. Contrasted to the traditional vehicle, the starting time of HEV is shorter and the phenomena of dense fuel injection at start phase is eliminated. HC emission of HEV in starting operation is approximately reduced by 21% contrasted to the traditional vehicle.
