Abstract:Based on the researched multi-server vacation queue, the M/M/c queue with multiple working vacation was proposed with consideration of the server wakes from energy saving mechanism to normal state in wireless communication network. All servers work at a low rate rather than complete stop during a vacation period, which means a synchronous N policy multiple working vacation. Another vacation policy of vacation interruption was introduced. Based on quasi birth and death process and matrix geometric solution method, the steady state distribution for queue length was obtained. The conditional stochastic decomposition structure of queue length was achieved under the condition that all servers were busy.
