Abstract:To investigate the performance of waste oil and crumb rubber composite modified asphalt, the effects of shear temperature, shear time and shear rate were analyzed. The temperature sensitivity, the high temperature performance and the low temperature performance of the composite modified asphalt were analyzed by asphalt experimentation, and the fluorescent optical microscope was used to analyze the micro-disperse state. The results show that the processing parameters have critical role to the performance of composite modified asphalt when rubber powder, waste oil and asphalt blend together. The composite modified asphalt have the best performance with improved rubber particles dispersion and uniformity when the shear temperature is from 180 to 190 ℃ with shear time of 90 min and shear rate of 5 000 r·min-1.
