Joint cycleidentification method for LoranC signal

Abstract:To solve the disadvantages of the current techniques for cycleidentification in LoranC receivers, a new method was proposed with the considerations of carrier tracking information and envelope peak detection. The method was described based on the principle of cycleidentification for peak detection, DLL peak detection method and joint decision pattern. The effectiveness of the DLL peak detection was verified by simulating, and the performance of antiECD and antinoise of the method was analyzed. The identification and tracking performance of the method for standard zerocrossing point was verified by applying the method to the design of LoranC receivers. The test result shows that the method has good performance of antiECD, and the method can identify the cycle accurately when the SIR is greater than 20 dB. The proposed method can completely satisfy the modern LoranC digital receiver design parameters.
