Abstract:The durability performance of hot recycled asphalt mixture with different percentages of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) was evaluated by multiple freeze-thaw cycles method. The diametral compression test, the dynamic creep test, the semi-circular bending test and the indirect tensing fatigue test were conducted after 0, 1 and 3 freeze-thaw cycles. The test results show that the using tensile strength residual (TSR) to assess moisture damage may be misleading. The moisture durability performance, the rutting resistance durability performance, the low temperature cracking resistance durability performance and the fatigue cracking durability performance are all declined after multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Compared with HMA with virgin materials, the recycled asphalt mixture shows lower durability performance under multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The higher the content of RAP is, the more obviously the performance recessions.
