Abstract:
Abstract: The relationship among milling force, valid adhesion weight of frontrear wheels, tangent traction force, traction power and milling power was analyzed. The traction performance experiment of one asphalt cold milling machine with frontwheel driving was conducted. The results show that rolling resistance coefficient between solid tyre and asphalt pavement is 0.02, and the attachment coefficient is 0.65. The traction resistance force accounts for 7.1 percent of the largest tangential traction force. The milling horizontal resistance force is the main tangential traction force, and the slipping rate increases with the increasing of milling horizontal resistance force. The fitting equations of slipping rate and tangential traction force are obtained by Gaussian fitting in the whole region of slipping rate and by quadratic polynomial fitting with slipping rate from 0 to 26%. The traction efficiency is above 70% when the slipping rate is from 4% to 24%. The rated slipping rate is 10% for the maximal traction efficiency, and the traction force under rated slipping rate should correspond to average milling force. The maximal stable working slipping rate is 24%.
