Abstract:A threedimensional pattern automatic generation technique of Visual C++, UG and Rhino softwares was proposed based on the composition patterns of fractal patterns, fabrics, artifacts and composition rule. Visual C++ was used to realize secondary development of UG to automatically generate the threedimensional plane pattern. The mapping of threedimensional flat pattern to product appearance of entity through STEP file format in Rhino software was completed. An example for the mapping of threedimensional decoration to bracelet shape was used to verify the proposed threedimensional pattern automatic generation system. The results illuminate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed technique.
