Abstract Objective: To investigate the relationships between CA19-9 and CA24-2 levels and estradiol levels in the serum in female physiological periods. Methods: CA19-9 and CA24-2 and estradiol levels were detected in the serum in different physical period of 150 females, then the relationships between CA19-9 and CA24-2 levels and estradiol levels were analysed, and 150 males were used as controls. Results: The CA19-9 and CA24-2 levels in females serum were obviously higher than those of controls, respectively(t=4.848,P<0.001; t=8.11,P<0.001). The positive rate of CA199 and CA242 in females serum were also obviously higher than those of controls (χ2=6.621,P=0.010 1; χ2=8.219,P=0.004 1). There were obvious differences between the CA19-9 levels and CA24-2 levels in different physical period of females, respectively (F=10.53,P<0.001; F=12.61,P<0.001,). The CA19-9 levels and CA24-2 levels were negative correlations with that of estradiol levels in the serum of female, the equations were Y=-0.027 01X+38.62 (r2=0.523 9, P<0.001) and Y=-0.016 88X+ 23.40 (r2=0.653 1, P<0.001), respectively. Ten women with high CA19-9 and CA24-2 levels were followed up 5 years, the result showed that CA19-9 and CA242 levels almost decreased to normal after 6 months. Conclusion: The elevation of serum CA19-9 and CA24-2 levels in woman are not malignant and in connection with physical period of female.
