Effect of middle layer by liquidphase deposition technology on bonding strength of porcelain and pure titanium |

Abstract [Abstract]Objective: To investigate the effect of middle layer with liquidphase deposition(LPD) technology on bonding strength of titanium and porcelain in different condition. Methods: Fifty pure titanium specimens were randomly divided into ten groups(n=5)according to different surface treatments after sandblasting. The surface of titanium was investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM).After the middle area of the samples was veneered with porcelain, a threepointflexuretest was used to evaluate the bonding strength of titanium to porcelain.Results: The bonding strength of groups of liquidphase deposition were significantly higher than control group(P<0.05). The mean bonding strength of pH=9,0.3 mol/L silicate solution group was the highest\[(38.86±2.63)MPa\], it was significantly higher than those of other nine groups(P<0.05). Conclusion: Middle layer prepared by LPD technology was significant in improving bonding strength of porcelain and pure titanium, the bonding strength was the highest by pH=9,0.3 mol/L silicate solution.
