|
Abstract Because of her eastern and western cultural background, Pearl S. Buck often judges the female images through bi-cuhural perspectives and pays special attention to the destiny of those females caught in cultural clashes in which they are undone, or kneel at the feet of western culture and betrays their own traditional culture, or have a spiritual nirvana or rebirth, or bridge eastern and western cultures. Thus, the different female destinies in Pearl S. Buck' s works show the change of her culture view.
