Xi Jiping talked about the Macrohistory time and again, enriching our perspective of understanding contemporary Chinese issues, and disclosing the logic behind Chinas choice of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the path confidence in particular. From the perspective of Macrohistory, the logic behind contemporary Chinas path confidence can be approached at least from three aspects: comparison between Chinese and Western civilizations and cultures in the long run, comparison between the routes to modernization taken by China and Western powers in the middle run, and comparison between two unprecedented changes in the short run. In just dozens of years, China was able to rise from a poor country to a rich one, move from the edge to the center of the world stage, expand the route of modernization for developing countries, and contribute Chinas wisdom and China solution for human issues—this is enough to demonstrate the great advantages of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and of Chinas system.
