Abstract:Engineering universities cultivate a large number of innovators and builders for social development and sci-tech advance. The key point of cultivating these innovators and builders lies in the teachers' instruction, their structure of knowledge and their positive initiative. In face of new challenges at present, engineering universities must change their ideas, optimize the teaching environment, strengthen the cultivation of competence, reform the evaluation system, encourage team spirit etc. to cultivate and enroll the wanted faculty and improve their overall performance.
