Abstract:Hu Qiaomu is a typical institutionalized intellectual in China's Democratic Revolution and the contemporary history of China. He features both an ordinary intellectual and the institution. But the institutional features he wore must be approached according to two different stages: before and after “the Great Cultural Revolution”. His evaluation must be based on the ideological work he was engaged in his whole life. The three important documents of the Resolution he drafted in 1945, the Thirty Years of the CCP and the Resolution to Some Historical Issues of the CCP is not only a main basis to judge China's Revolutionary Ideology, but also an important indicator to evaluate him fairly and objectively.
