Abstract Deceleration capacity of rate (DC) is one of the indicators reflecting the function of autonomic nervous regulation. Due to its noninvasiveness, and high sensitivity and specificity, it had been widely used in the prognosis and sudden death risk assessment of cardiovascular diseases at present. In recent years, domestic and foreign researchers have applied DC detection to research related to diseases other than heart diseases, and have made great progress. This article reviews the clinical research progress related to DC at home and abroad, aiming to further comprehensively and systematically sort out the clinical application value and potential of DC.
