Abstract Fragmented QRS complex (fQRS) is an ECG index easily obtained in clinical ECG examination, and it reflects abnormal ventricular depolarization in routine 12lead ECG. At present, the specific formation mechanism of fQRS is still unclear, but it is generally believed to be related to the conduction abnormalities caused by myocardial scars and dyssynchrony of myocardial depolarization. With the deepening of researches on fQRS at home and abroad, fQRS has been found to be associated with the diagnosis and prognosis of heart failure, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, Brugada syndrome and other diseases, and response to cardiac resynchronization therapy. This paper reviews the research advances in fQRS and its application.
