Abstract Chemotherapeutic drugs could cause cardiovascular complications. Previous studies focused on the left ventricle, ignoring the right ventricle. Recent studies have shown that chemotherapeutic druginduced heart injury usually synchronously involves both the right ventricle and the left ventricle, and therefore right ventricular remodeling should not be ignored. Anthracyclines, trastuzumab, etc. could significantly affect the structure and function of the right ventricle. The mechanism of right ventricular remodeling caused by chemotherapeutic drugs is not completely clear at present. It may be related to the direct myocardial injury, oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction and pulmonary circulation damage caused by chemotherapeutic drugs. This article reviews on the effects of chemotherapeutic drugs on right ventricular remodeling.
