Abstract Objective To look for a simple and rapid method for diagnosing ventricular tachycardia(VT). Methods Retrospective analysis was performed on the surface ECGs of 485 patients with wide QRS tachycardia. Brugada four step method, Vereckei four step method, VT integration method and New process of limb lead were separately applied in the examination. Compared with intracardiac electrophysiology, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the four methods were observed. Results The accuracy rate of VT integration method, new process of limb lead, Brugada four step method and Vereckei four step method were 98.2%, 95.3%, 70.4% and 68.7%, respectively. The accuracy rate of VT integration method and new process of limb lead in diagnosing VT were higher than that of Brugada four step method and Vereckei four step method(P<0.05). Conclusion The accuracy rate of new process of limb lead in diagnosing VT proves to be relatively high. The process is simple, and easy to be remembered and promoted. It is a novel method for making rapid diagnosis of VT.
