2017 ISHNE/HRS expert consensus statement on ambulatory ECG and external cardiac monitoring/telemetry(2):diagnostic indications and clinical prediction |

|
Abstract Ambulatory ECG(AECG) is very commonly employed in a variety of clinical contexts to detect cardiac arrhythmias and arrhythmia patterns which are not readily obtained from the routine ECG. Prodigious amounts of rhythm information derived from AECG recording system often provide reliable diagnostic references in clinic. This paper introduces the indications of ambulatory monitoring technique in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases, and evaluates its predictive value on risk stratification against specific clinical context.
