Chinese expert consensus statement on the clinical application of sinus heart rate turbulence 2019 |
|
|
Abstract Sinus heart rate turbulence(HRT) refers to the transient accelerating and deceleration of sinus heart rate after premature ventricular contraction(PVC). It reflects the rapid regulation reaction of autonomic nerve post PVC. The testing method of HRT is simple and noninvasive, with reliable and stable results acquired from the monitoring of surface electrocardiogram and ambulatory electrocardiography. Nowadays the phenomenon of HRT is widely used in the prognosis judgment and clinical investigation on the patients with heart disease. It has become one of the very important noninvasive testing methods for predicting the risk of sudden death in those with cardiovascular disease. The multiple influence of PVC on heart rate is reliable to screen out the patients at high risk of sudden death after myocardial infarction.
