Ambulatory electrocardiographic features of patients with ischemic ophthalmopathy |

Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the ambulatory electrocardiographic features in patients with ischemic ophthalmopathy. MethodsA total of 105 healthy people without ocular diseases such as optic neuropathy and retinal vasculopathy were selected as control group and 200 patients with ischemic ophthalmopathy were simultaneously regarded as observation group. Retrospective analysis was performed on their characteristics of ambulatory electrocardiography(AECG). The incidences of STT changes on AECG and frequent arrhythmia were compared between the two groups.ResultsIn the ischemic ophthalmopathy group, the incidence of STT changes on AECG was higher than that in the control group(χ2=46.719,P<0.05) while the incidence of frequent arrhythmia was also significantly higher(χ2=90.287,P<0.05).ConclusionThere is a correlation between ischemic ophthalmopathy and ambulatory electrocardiographic changes, suggesting that cardiovascular related diseases may be an important risk factor for ischemic ophthalmopathy.
