Analysis of deceleration capacity of rate and heart rate variability in patients with liver cirrhosis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the changes of autonomic nervous function in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods Time domain analysis of heart rate variability(HRV) and analysis of heart rate deceleration(DC) were performed on 90 patients in liver cirrhosis group and 78 normal cases in control group. Results Compared with the control group, SDNN, SDANN, rMSSD and pNN50 significantly decreased(P<0.01) in liver cirrhosis group, and so did DC(P<0.05). For liver cirrhosis patients with different Childpugh classification, the more severe the degree of liver cirrhosis was, the more significantly the time domain indices of HRV, and DC decreased. Conclusion Autonomic nervous dysfunction can occur in patients with postvirushepatitis cirrhosis at different level of liver function damage.
