Abstract The theory of electrocardiogram(ECG) is abstract and difficult to understand, which involves complex contents and varied graphs. This paper summarizes a set of effective ECG analysis methods through years of teaching and clinical experience：electrode calibration, the rate law of axis, atrioventricular hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, preexcitation block, abnormal origin, written diagnosis. The method is convenient, stable, practical and easy to be memorized, which is helpful to improve the ability of analyzing ECG accurately and quickly.
