Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the the consistency between the diagnosis of cardiac space occupying lesion by echocardiogram and surgical pathological results. MethodsRetrospective analysis was performed on the echocardiograms of 100 patients with cardiac space occupying lesion who had been admitted in our hospital from December 2015 to December 2017. Their surgical pathological results were also comparatively analyzed in combination. ResultsBy echocardiogram, in the diagnosis of myxoma, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were all 100%; in the diagnosis of metastatic tumor, missed diagnosis occurred in one case, and the rates were 80.00%, 100% and 9900%, respectively; in diagnosing neoplasm, missed diagnosis occurred in 3 cases while two cases were misdiagnosed, with a sensitivity of 91.67%, a specificity of 96.88% and an accuracy rate of 95.00%; in the diagnosis of intracardial thrombus, missed diagnosis occurred in one case while 3 cases were misdiagnosed, with a sensitivity of 94.74%, a specificity of 96.30%, an accuracy rate of 96.00% and a misdiagnosis rate of 3.70%. ConclusionBy echocardiogram the diagnostic accuracy rate of myxoma proves to be high. However, there are certain rates of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis in the patients with metastatic tumor, intracardial thrombus or neoplasm. It is suggested to make diagnosis in combination with surgical pathological results.
