Improvement design and calculation of the seal for high pressure hot water circulating pump

Abstract:In this paper,the cause of mechanical seal leakage under the high temperature and pressure is analyzed for high temperature hot water circulating pump under the operating conditions.The tandem two-stage mechanical seal is proposed for the improvement scheme.The detailed design calculations are carried out on the mechanical seal.The structural design of mechanical seal and practical application of 4 000 hours operation of the sealing system are demonstrated.The service life of the mechanical seal for the high pressure hot water circulating pump is improved,and thus good economic benefit is achieved.
