Abstract:In order tosimplify the design process of vane pump, a performance optimization design platform suitable for pumps is developed based on open-source Python programming language, graphical language programming softwarea LabVIEW and ANSYS Workbench. LabVIEW software was used to build the graphic user interface,which realizes the funcations of optimization variable setting, optimization method setting and result feedback. The balde design and optimation program is written in Python language, integrating three kinds of optimization methods, including experimental design, approximate model and intelligent optimization algorithm. Through the built-in Python node of LabVIEW, Python programs were invoked to execute the batch files of Workbench for blade modeling, mesh generation, and numerical calculation to realize the automatic operation of three-dimensional pump design and numerical simulation. Automatic shutdown of abnormal numerical calculations and the transmission of optimization results with network were also realized. Take centrifugal pump impeller as an example, intelligent optimization algorithm is selected as the optimization method, and particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the design automatically. The impeller efficiency was improved after 8 hours and 13 iterations without manual intervention, significantly improving the impeller efficiency. In practical application, the efficiency of optimization design is greatly improved, the difficulty of optimization is reduced, and significantly shortens the hydraulic design cycle of impeller.
